10 years Perspectief
The event paid extra attention to the 10th anniversary of the Perspectief programme, and the six awards for this year were announced. Within Perspectief, consortia are working on technologies that will deliver scientific and industrial breakthroughs. The research is based on major societal needs, such as more sustainable food production, more efficient care and less impact on the environment.
Awards for innovative research
Five out-of-the-box projects received the Open Mind Award of €50,000 from jury chairman Ionica Smeets. This will enable them to further develop their idea in the upcoming year. Six new research programmes from NWO's financing instrument 'Perspectief for top sectors' were also awarded funding.
Visitors were able to give their input to the buzzmaster, which ensured an energetic collaboration with the chairman of the day, Rens de Jong (BNR).
