AI in R&D: More than a co-pilot for transition

in collaboration with the Netherlands Academy of Engineering
NAE

The Netherlands Academy of Engineering (NAE) co-organizes a sub-session with TEKNOWLOGY on AI in R&D as part of a series of activities on Innovating Engineering Practices. Engineering Practices are shifting to a strongly software-based approach in complex systems engineering.

Alessandro Bozzon (TUD), expert in AI, will lead the audience into the theme and engage with the audience on their questions and feedback regarding shaping transitions by AI. The panelists will cover various themes such as:

  • What expertise is needed?
  • What can AI already solve autonomously?
  • What risks are involved?
  • How can users increase effective collaborations across engineering disciplines?
  • How will education be affected?

Participants will also have the opportunity to share their questions and opinions on the utility of AI and similar app-based technologies with the expert panel which will include Jos Benschop (ASML) and Bayu Jayawardhana (RUG) apart from Alessandro Bozzon.
