Major societal transitions and issues are a hot topic, be it sustainable energy, a circular economy or preserving our earning capacity. Solutions can be achieved when researchers and societal partners join forces. In doing so, it is important to use the entire knowledge chain, meaning that theoretically minded researchers from universities and practice-oriented researchers from universities of applied sciences work together and share knowledge.
