In this session we will explore a systems approach towards successful innovations. The connection between technological and societal expertise is essential for innovations to become trailblazing. Without business models, there is little application. Without support, there is less chance of integration in society and without insight into people and their needs, there is no human-oriented technology design. However, it is far from self-evident that innovations are designed and developed in this way. In this session, Anne Fleur van Veenstra, Mixel Kiemen (NEON Research), Lucas Evers (Waag), and Laure Wessemius-Chibrac will discuss what is needed to better connect the social and technological aspects of innovation. What are the challenges and how can they be resolved? Who is needed and what is there to gain?
