Yvonne Derkx

Aurelius Therapeutics B.V. & Radboudumc

Dr. Yvonne Derks is a biomedical scientist, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Aurelius Therapeutics B.V., a Radboudumc spin-off developing innovative radiopharmaceutical therapies for metastatic cancer. Her research focuses on translating targeted radionuclide therapies from the laboratory to the clinic, with the goal of improving outcomes for patients with advanced cancer.

After obtaining her MSc and PhD (both cum laude) from Radboud University, she played a key role in the development and patenting of novel prostate cancer-targeting technology that forms the foundation of Aurelius Therapeutics. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the NVNG Woldring Award for the best PhD thesis in the field of nuclear medicine. 

Through the Faculty of Impact programme, she combines scientific innovation with entrepreneurship, working to transform promising academic discoveries into therapies that reach patients and create societal impact.
